11 May by Richard Gadsby

April may have been a short month in the context of the cricket season, but our latest, keenly contested, Fantasy Cricket League is once more well underway...

Defending champion Luke Marriott and his 'Bucketbangers' continued where they left off, and our first team wicket-keeper took the honours of the seasons first 'Manager Of The Month Award' after collecting 1499 points - just ahead of 'No Cricket No Cry, managed by Achil Avasthy who finished just 40 points adrift of Marriott's all star line-up.

Rob Hardy was placed in third with his team - 'Nowt Daft' , who finished marginally above the 'Tappers 11' with Gary Birley - who is looking to build on his past 3 seasons, finishing in 28th, 40th and 32nd....Not much to aim for then, Gaz???

James Lawton's Team - named, James Lawton's Team, rounded off the top 5.

Elsewhere, previous winner Danny Brown has been unable to rekindle his previous form and The Six Offenders continue to drift into mid-table obscurity, lying in exactly mid position 16th place. Perhaps change is needed at the very top, Danny - THE CLUB IS ROTTEN, ROTTEN TO THE CORE.....

Anyway...

There are 32 participants in this years contest, with the Barney Army, seemingly crippled by their leaders broken hand finishing the month in 32nd position - but fear not Dylan, the title is never decided in April - just as well for you, eh?

Thank you to everyone who has participated in this years Fantasy Cricket League, and congratulations to Luke on winning the first Manager of the Month prize of the year.

Don't forget transfers can be made up to 11am on a Saturday.
