Dean Hubbard won our 'Performance of the Weekend Award' following his match-winning performance for our 3rd team on Saturday at home to Kirk Langley.

'Deano' returned 3rd best ever figures of 6/23 to dismantle the visitors batting order to set Mick Hopkins' side to a convincing 8-wicket victory - their first victory of the season. This now takes Dean's Sawley wicket tally to 692.

Other nominations this week included; first team skipper Jimmy Lawton who made a half century at the top of the Sawley order against Riddings; second team captain Kieran Hopkins who also made a quickfire 50 during the 2s win at Swarkestone, along with Finn Stott who batted brilliantly on a tough wicket, making an unbeaten 43 in the same game; Mark Gordon who also made a 50 for the 3s and young Zak Lamb who batted brilliantly to make 35 for our 4th team, before bowling his first 9-over stint in senior cricket, taking 1/27.
