We held our free, open to all, Women & Girls Cricket taster session at West Park Leisure Centre this afternoon, and by all accounts it was a big success.

The hour long session was ran by our own Women & Girls Cricket Officer Harriet Parker, along with our Chairman and AllStar activator, Mick Hopkins.

All participants of various ages and abilities took part in some training routines focusing on the key areas of cricket; Bowling, Batting and Fielding, giving some basic skills in these areas - whilst ensuring they also had fun whilst doing it!

Thank you to everyone who came, with lots of new faces showing interest in playing in female cricket, along with our own core of young Sawley CC cricketers.

Thank you also to our coaches, many who had already taken part in their own training session just a couple of hours before, then coming along to help out with this session.
