Our senior training has been in full swing for a few weeks now, and noticeably intensity levels have raised significantly - Therefore, a message from your Cricket Committee; - "A Big Thank You to everyone who has been able to come so far!."
We now have a short pause from training, with the School Sports Hall at Chellaston closed fthrough a combination of half-term and exams.
Our next Training at Chellaston resumes on Wednesday 11th March, followed by Sunday 15th March, with our final training on Wednesday 15th April and Sunday 19th April - with the League season starting the day before on April 18th.
We have tried to find an alternative venue for these next few weeks, and despite having booked one venue, this has now frustratingly fallen through at the last minute, therefore we will now take a short break from training altogether.
β’This Sundayβ’
As has been posted on the various senior team chats, we are encouraging all members to come and join us on Sunday morning in Sawley for a leisurely walk. This represents an opportunity to mix, build our team bond - and get out in the fresh air!
We will be aiming to meet at the Harrington Arms from 10.30, departing at 11am. The aim is to finish somewhere where we can have some refreshments and food.
With the current poor weather and ongoing mixed forecast, potentially, we may have to postpone this event, as the area we are planning to walk is likely to be flooded and not passable. We will keep everyone informed on this
Once again, Thank you to everyone who has participated at training so far, and when we go back in a few weeks time, remember it will be for the run-in to the start of the season.
