We are delighted to confirm to all our members, that we have secured the services of South African fast bowler Jack Loram for the 2026 season, and he will join the club as our overseas player next year.

Jack comes with a proven pedigree both at home in Johannesburg, and North of the boarder here in the UK, having played the last 2 summers in Scotland, taking a total of 80 wickets in 37 games, and contributing over 600 runs , with a high score of 99 in the middle order. Finishing 3rd and 2nd in the bowling rankings for his respective clubs in the various Scottish Premier League's, he is described as a 'skilful seam bowler with natural raw pace.'

The deal is subject to a formality visa clearance next year, and he will add a further dimension to our first team squad as we look to mount a challenge in the 2026 DCCL First Division.

Having added the services of Matthew Deyzel last last season, we are putting together a new-look pace attack in readiness for 2026.

Your cricket committee is working tirelessly to strengthen the upper end of the club, and we have already shared the news that Josh Hodge has re-joined the club, whilst another signing is almost over the line.

The committee is committed to bring only the right players to Sawley Cricket Club and the hard work continues to do just that.
