Hopefully many of you would have seen or heard about our upcoming โ2025 Sawley CC Charity Fun Dayโ which is to be held at our home on Sunday 24th August 2025, which is the last Bank Holiday weekend before Christmas this year!
Full details and arrangements have been finalised for what promises to be an exciting day for the whole Club. Whilst this event attracts many visitors from outside of our Club Membership, Sawley CC members are always at the forefront of our plans, and we hope to see as many of our โregular membersโ down on The Park on that Sunday afternoon -
โThis is your club, and we want you to always be a part of itโ
๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐;
The event officially โkicks-offโ at 1pm on Sunday 24th August at The Bill Camm Pavilion.
One of the Main attractions, The Mind vs Prostate Cancer Charity T20 game starts at 2pm โ with several Sawley players named in the squads, along with a surprise recent former favourite.
Around 5.30pm โ On the conclusion of the match, there will be a small presentation to the winning side, followed by the draw of our fantastic raffle.
The โfirst-halfโ of the event will end around 7pm, but it will be far from over!
From 7.30pm Lex Icon will be once again performing live outside the Bill Camm Pavilion. Lex has 2 scheduled 45 minute sets with a brief pause in-between.
Once Lex has finished his final requests, we will continue to serve up until 10.30pm โ which will mark final orders at the bar, with our doors closing at 11pm.

๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐;
As well as our Main Attractions as listed above, there will be plenty more to occupy everyone!
Food;
Meatles have built up a tremendous reputation around the area, and we are delighted we have secured their food van for the afternoon, along with the fantastic โPizza Shackโ providing what they do best โ Pizza!
We are anticipating at least 1 ice cream van to also be on site during the afternoon.
A number of cup-cakes will also be available to purchase.
Drinks;
As ever we have a fully stocked bar on-site and will be bringing in extra helpers on the day, we will have an extra card terminal, and also there will be a small outside bar available (which may be cash only-TBC).
Toilets;
We are bringing in extra toilets to cater for the extra demand which will push our own modest facilities to their maximum.
For the kids;
Whilst there will be plenty of tennis balls and kwik cricket bats to use, there will also be a bouncy castle and face-painting to keep the young ones enthused!
Stalls;
We are hoping to attract other stall holders to sell or promote their products and/or services on the day โ this will cost ยฃ10 โ which will be donated to the charities.
Raffle;
Our raffle is being updated daily with some outstanding prizes up for grabs!
Strips will cost ยฃ5 each (no less), with cash strongly preferred as payment โ as all the monies raised from this raffle are being split in half โ with 50% going to each charity.
Tickets will be available on the day โ look out for Mandi who will be selling the tickets throughout the day.
Tickets will also be on sale to anybody unable to attend โ these are available through Sarah Lyle from Thursday 14th August โ please contact Sarah directly should you wish to purchase some beforehand.

A few familiar faces will be amongst the line-ups on the day.
