With a growing number of unavailability’s for various reasons over the next 2 weekends, we are at a near critical level for putting all 4 of our teams out.

This weekend, we were just at a full 44, however recent drop-outs mean we are likely to be short in filling all 4 of our teams for the first time since we re-introduced our 4th team in 2023.

Whilst, with next weekends even poorer availability, it already seems likely our 4th XI may have to concede for the first time in over 3 years – this despite the importance of their scheduled clash with 3rd placed Clifton – who are just 1 point and 1 place above our 4th team.

Therefore the Cricket Committee are making an urgent call to all our players and membership;

“To anybody not already involved, If you are available over the next 2 Saturday’s, or are able to make yourself available, please, please contact one of our senior Captains or reply on here.
If we have to concede one of our sides, there will be a handful of our Club members who will simply not get a game, and whilst members at the top may not be too concerned with the lower reaches of our club, it is all our sides which make our club tick, together…”

Please, if you are able to play, particularly on August 16th, please come forward – whilst registrations could be a stumbling block at this time of the season, unless players come forward, we cannot even try to get all 4 teams out.
