Sawley CC are delighted to confirm the signing of fast bowler Matthew Deyzel.

Deyzel needs to introduction to many of our members, having enjoyed a season as our overseas player in 2016, taking 45 first team wickets, which at the time was the most wickets by a first team player in 5 years.

Upon returning to England in 2018, Deyzel has played in the South Staffordshire League for Hammerwich, more locally at Sandiacre in 2021 & 2022, and most recently for Silverdale CC in the North Staffordshire & Cheshire League.
Having continued to ply his trade in the UK, he is now no longer considered as an overseas player.

A big, but friendly guy, Deyzel can be explosive with ball in hand, whilst also capable of offering runs down the order.

Matthew joins our first team squad and goes straight into this weekends game at South Wingfield.
