Our final ‘Last Person Standing’ competition finally reached a conclusion recently, after Michael Cook took the honours after a mammoth contest!

Mr Cook incredibly picked 15 consecutive winners correctly from the Premier League, holding off stiff competition from Oliver Gadsby who fell at Round 13 and Matthew Wilson, who pushed him all the way to the end, before eventually running out of sides to pick!

This run becomes our longest ever game and therefore biggest winning streak on record!

Due to this game running so long, it was decided some weeks ago that this would be our final competition of the 24/25 football season, but there is good news! Jeff Glover has promised us a return for the start of the 2025/26 Premier League season!

A huge Thank you goes to Jeff for all his hard work in running this competition, which continues to provide an extra source of income for the club, and to everyone who has participated this season.
As ever, it would be extra nice if more Sawley CC Cricketers were involved, but we appreciate everyone who has took the time and effort to join in!
