This coming Sunday – 11th May, we have our first of 9 Sunday games planned for the season.

Attenborough visit West Park for a 1pm start, in a 35-over per side game (our visitors were keen for a full 40 over per side game, with the compromise of 35 being agreed!).

With players regularly being left out on a Saturday, due to the demand at the club, these games are designed to ensure all players get a game, whilst also giving opportunities to bowl some overs they are not getting, or face some balls.

Places have been offered to members of the 4th team already, but unfortunately only a small handful have accepted the offer. Therefore this is a call to all players at the club, if you would like to play on Sunday, please speak to your Captain or Gary Birley to confirm your place. We currently only have half a team!
We would also like somebody to come forward and Captain the side on the day.

There are some players who have not yet been selected to play at all this season, so this is an excellent opportunity to play for the club in what will be very close to being a competitive game – please consider it seriously!

There is a possibility the game will be played out of our Main Pavilion – the cricket committee are keeping an eye on conditions and the wicket in the coming days before making a decision on that.
