We are now just a matter of hours away from the start of the 2025 Cricket Season!

The Cricket Committee, along with the Main Committee would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone involved with all our Senior Cricket Teams well for the season ahead.

Our First Team travel to Tutbury today (12 noon), buoyed by the return of Aidan Meyer, for a Division 1 clash at The Mill.
The Second Team return to Division 4 and they also play Tutbury – this time on West Park (12.30pm), with 2 former players back in their ranks. We welcome back both Charlie Dawson and Adam Swain.
Our Thirds make the long trip to Yoxall. Mick Hopkins is back in temporary charge of the side, and they welcome a senior debut to James Glasby, whilst Sam Wilson plays his first Sawley game – start time is 1pm.
And finally our Fourth Team are at home, ironically, they also face Yoxall (1pm) , with one of our juniors, Nathan Hardy making his competitive senior debut – a big day ahead for Nathan and his family.

Let’s all remember when we are out there throughout the season, we are representing not only ourselves, but the Club. Let’s play hard, but fair and represent Sawley CC in the best possible way on and off the field.

Once again, good luck to everybody, not just those 44 players playing today, but everyone who will pull on a Sawley shirt this season, along with our scorers, tea ladies, umpires and everyone associated with Sawley Cricket Club..
